IELTS Registration

IELTS registration is important for taking the test. The test dates fill up quickly hence you should register as soon as possible. For registration, you have to make a payment. The deadline for applying is set three weeks before that specific test date.
Before registration, you must follow the following steps.

1. Inquire About The IELTS Type, Module And Band Score

There are two types of IELTS tests. One is academic and the other is General. Academic training and test are important for study purpose. Different educational institutions, colleges, universities, governments, companies, require a different type of test and different band scores. The requirements are different for different courses or professions. You should, therefore, know which IELTS band score is necessary for you.

2. Test date and test location

After that, you must choose the date and test locations.

Online Registration

You can apply online for registration. Hence, for online IELTS registration, you have to complete the application form. Moreover, you also have to visit the IELTS website of the British Council and upload your identity document there.
You must know the type of test you want to take. Choose your test date from there and also select the location and module. We recommend you to check the speaking test date too. Click on “Continue” after choosing the specific module, exam date and location. Now you have to create a new user and register with your e-mail address. Give all the necessary details.
When you choose an online registration procedure, you should make sure that its time limit is 30 minutes only.

Proceed To Pay

You have the options to pay online or offline. Hence, when you choose to pay online, you have to pay after the submission of the application. Making online payment is very important after you apply. You must pay within 24hrs of submitting an application.
If you choose offline payment options, you can pay by cash or demand draft through the bank. For paying through the bank, you need to submit
1. Online Application summary page
2. Copy of valid ID Document
3. Standard Chartered Bank deposit slips/demand draft for registration fees

IELTS Registration By Post Or In Person

There is also an option for IELTS registration by post or in person. Hence, in this case, you have to submit your completed application to the reception. For registration, you can download the application form from the website and complete it with all the details. In case you cannot download the form, you can obtain it from any branch of Standard Chartered Bank. After completing, you, therefore, have to return it by post along with a copy of your ID document and payment form.
You also need to provide your finger scan on their first appearance for the test. If you don’t do so, you will be unable to take the test. Moreover, you will not be eligible for any refund or transfer.

Confirmation Letter

After registration and processing of the payment. Hence you will receive a confirmation letter via email. So this letter will include:
1. The receipt
2. Test day information
3. Schedule for the day
4. The morning venue map
